Enkhsaikhan presented his letter of credentials to H.E. Mr. Ivo Josopovic, President of the Republic of Croatia, on December 15th 2010 as Ambassador to Croatia. My delegation supported the inclusion and consideration of this item at this session of the Board of Governors. This issue has been discussed in the Board and outside it for some years now. In 2007 the Director General reported on a possible new framework for the utilization of nuclear energy. Thus it shares his concern regarding a new uranium enrichment facility and the construction of a light water reactor, outside the Agency’s safeguards and monitoring. On 10 November an Association “Mongolian culture and Europe” was established in Vienna. Its main goal is to support promotion of culture between Mongolia and European countries. The OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) has approved an emergency relief grant of US$250,000 to Mongolia, to assist communities and families affected by the recent dzud disaster. The crisis has resulted in a decimation of livestock as well the livelihood of families and communities. This coincided with the 18th anniversary of the adoption of Mongolia’s democratic Constitution.
