Mongolian Ambassador presented his Letters of Credence in Austria
On 5 April, Gunaajav Batjargal presented the Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Austria, to His Excellency Dr. Heinz Fischer, the Federal President of Austria.
After the presentation, the President Heinz Fischer congratulated Ambassador Batjargal on his appointment as the year of 2013 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Austria and Mongolia, and expressed hope that during his tenure the new Ambassador will make a significant contribution in expanding bilateral relationship between the two countries.
Ambassador Batjargal extended warm greetings of the President of Mongolia, Tsakhia Elbegdorj, to the Federal President Heinz Fischer and reconfirmed the invitation for the Austrian President to pay a visit to Mongolia. He expressed a potential to develop cooperation in the areas such as minerals exploration, technology transfer and cultural exchange. Ambassador Batjargal underscored the need to promote Austrian classical music to the people of Mongolian as the two countries mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Ambassador Johannes Kyrle, Secretary General of the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs, Ambassador Helmut Freudenschuss, Diplomatic Advisor to the Federal President and Ambassador Alexander Grubmayr, Protocol Chief of the Office of President and the Mongolian Embassy staff members were present at the ceremony and meeting as well.
