The cabinet made a decision to improve the speed of Internet access and reduce local Internet prices. As of today, only eight percent total of families in aimags centers and one percent in soums have been connected to the Internet and it means the Internet access rate is still at a low level in aimags. On July 19, the working groups’ heads of parties and the coalition in charge of the negotiations announced that the new joint government will be formed consisting of DP, MPRPMNDP’s ‘Justice’ coalition and CWGP. They made a declaration which states that all MPs of the above-mentioned two parties and the coalition have agreed to set up a joint government to ensure stable and effective cooperation for their four year term of service. |

On June 30, the General Election Committee (GEC) reported the complete preliminary results of the election. According to the results, the majority system, which were elected by block vote, brought 22 seats to DP, 19 seats to MPP, four seats to MPRPMNDP ‘Justice’ Coalition and three ndependents among 48 seats. Government, Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions (CMTU) and Association of Employers reached an agreement to raise salary of state workers and pensions by 30 percent starting October 1, 2010.

As of the first quarter of this year, Mongolia traded with 103 countries from all over the world and total external trade turnover reached USD 1076.2 million, of which exports made up USD 499.0 million and import did USD 577.2 million. Wednesday's cabinet meeting made a decision to free the Japanese citizens from the visa to enter Mongolia. In other words, the Japanese can stay here for 30 days visa free.
