OSCE Chairmanship and Mongolia shall hold an international expert workshop

OSCE Chairmanship and Mongolia shall hold an international expert workshop on “Combating Modern Slavery: National, Regional, International experiences”, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The workshop objectives are to promote deeper understanding of the existing problems, encourage exchange of information and views, sharing the best practices of preventing and/or combating this form of slavery at the national, regional and international levels.

The workshop would be divided in three substantive sessions. The first session will be devoted to an overview of the situation of human trafficking problem at the national level. The second session will provide an opportunity for sharing experience and knowledge between and among the OSCE participating States and the Asian Partners, identifying the best practices in addressing the challenges in human trafficking. The third session will discuss the threats related to human trafficking that go beyond the state or regional boundaries.

The workshop will be held at the expert level. Approximately 40 experts will be participating from the participating States of the OSCE and the Asian Partners, including NGOs, academic institutions, and other international organizations.
