Permanent Representative J. Enkhsaikhan met on 26 May with Mr. Yukiya Amano, Director General of IAEA. They exchanged views on the negotiations held at the NPT Review Conference in New York as well as on the developments related to Iran’s nuclear program issue. Amb. J. Enkhsaikhan informed the Director General about the establishment by the First lady of Mongolia Mrs. Ts. Bolormaa of a National Foundation “Hope” with the aim to raise awareness of the cancer occurrences, the possibility of reducing such occurrences, to promote early diagnosis, improve the quality of cancer treatment, raise the quality of education and professionalism of doctors and in general to draw the attention of decision- and policy-makers to this issue. The Ambassador thanked the IAEA for including Mongolia in the PMDS program and for the active participation in the bilateral consultative meeting held in April in Ulaanbaatar.
