Ambassador J. Enkhsaikhan, who is participating in the NPT Review Conference in New York, met on 14 May with the representatives of the five nuclear-weapon states (the P5) to up-date them on Mongolia’s policy regarding its nuclear-weapon-free status and exchange views on the drafting language regarding the status to be reflected in the proposed final document of the conference. During the meeting the Mongolian side presented the texts of the draft trilateral treaty on Mongolia’s status and the draft additional protocol to the treaty the representatives of the U.S., U.K. and France for their consideration.
