ITALY WANTS TO COOPERATE IN INFRASTRUCTURE SECTOR

Ulaanbaatar, "Notes written by Karpini, Rubruk, and Marco Polo are the largest expression of the relationship established between Mongolia and Italy. This is also a valuable source of the Mongolian history," N. Altankhuyag, the Deputy Premier of Mongolia, said Tuesday at his meeting with visiting Adolfo Urso, a Deputy Minister for International Trade, Ministry of Economic Development of Italy.

"Mongolia attaches much importance to promoting friendly from ancient time’s relations and cooperation between the two countries. Mongolia wants to develop bilateral relations and cooperation in all fields, especially in accelerating trade and economic collaboration," Altankhuyag stated.

"Mongolia has set a goal to increase its competitive capacity on the world arena. As a part of this action, the Mongolians strive to introduce European Union's standards and requirements in their country. We hope that Italy will support this effort,” the Deputy Premier underlined.

Highlighting the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Mr.Urso emphasized that this event will advance the bilateral relations and cooperation into newer stage. He expressed his satisfaction for bilateral collaboration in the field of wool, cashmere and livestock-originated raw materials such as hide and skin. "Italy suggests cooperating in infrastructure sector in order to increase trade and economic turnover between our countries," he said.
