T. Badamjunai, Foods, Agriculture and Light Industry Minister introduced preparatory works for 2010 spring sowing.

In 2010, it is planned to sow grains in 282.2 thousand hectare area, of which wheat is sown in 270.0 thousand hectare, plant potatoes in 13.2 thousand hectare, vegetables in 7.2 thousand hectare, fodder for livestock in 12.2 thousand hectare and harvest 410.0 thousand tonne of grains, 158.5 thousand tonne of potatoes and 93.3 thousand tonne of vegetables. If this goal is achieved, domestic needs of wheat and potatoes will be provided by 100 percent and vegetables by 60 percent.
