Government has resolved to bring the normal secondary schools’ two-week recess forward by one week due to the swine-flu scare. This vacation will now start on October 26 and not on November 4 as usual.

The latest count shows that 77 of the 139 infected suspects have recovered without any treatment needed. At present 28 out of 62 confirmed cases have been hospitalized for treatment and 34 are being treated at home. The conditions of three, including a pregnant woman, are causing concern. The World Health Organization’s supply of vaccines is expected to arrive on November 9.
