President Ts.Elbegdorj visits the USA

From June 14 to 17, President Ts. Elbegdorj paid an official visit to the United States of America. In San Francisco, President Ts. Elbegdorj visited Stanford University and held roundtable talks with well known scholars of the university. He visited Hoover Institute, Google and Silicon Valley, participated in the opening ceremony of the Mongolian Consulate General in San Francisco, and met Mongolians living in San Francisco.

In Washington DC, Mongolia’s President Ts. Elbegdorj and US President Barack Obama are going to meet in the White House to make a joint statement. President Ts. Elbegdorj will
lay a wreath at Arlington Confederate Memorial in the Arlington National Cemetery and visit US soldiers in Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

President Ts. Elbegdorj will meet with congressmen and senators of the USMongolia Friendship Group and House Democracy Partnership program.Moreover, President Elbegdorj will meet with John Boehner, Speaker of the US House of Representatives. U.S. State Department documents on Mongolia-US relations and cooperation will be signed during the visit.

In New York City, the President of Mongolia will meet representatives of businesses including the Forbes Group. President Ts.Elbegdorj will participate in a roundtable Council on Foreign Relations and visited Bloomberg News Television Channel.He also will visit a Buddhist monastery in New Jersey.
