Relevant organizations reported that it is estimated to require Tgs 5.5 billion to dispose of the remains of dead livestock that perished due to dzud disaster. The first phase of elimination, decontamination and disinfection is planned to be conducted by March 20, 2010. The second phase will be completed in April.

National Emergency Management Agency, General Authority of Specialized Inspection and Veterinary Hospital worked-out interim instructions and recommendations for loading all remains to one point and eliminating the remains.
On February 22, the National Emergency Commission held a meeting to discuss the above issues and decided to submit their recommendations to the government.
In Dashinchilen Soum of Bulgan Aimag, herdsmen from 2-3 aimags were in transhumance, creating too much density and leading herdsmen to be in conflict for grassland. Therefore, Deputy Prime Minister M. Enkhbold ordered its coordination by the Food, Agriculture and Light Industry
Ministry.
During that meeting, a report on weather conditions was introduced. By February 21, cold air currents came from Bayan-Olgii Aimag, reaching 28 m/sec and in some places 34m/sec. In March, there is probably to have fresh winds, although the weather will be warmer.
As of February 22, about 2.5 million head of livestock have perished throughout the nation due to the harsh winter. For now, over 800,000 new born animals are surviving countrywide. Over 90 percent of all perished animals were in Arkhangai, Bayankhongor, Bayan-Olgii, Uvs, Khovd, Zavkhan, Gobi-Altai, Ovorkhangai, Dundgobi, Tov, Omnogobi and Hovsgol aimags.
